Extension types we build
Most of the work is one of four shapes. Which one suits your house depends on the plot, the existing structure and what you want the ground floor to do.
Kitchen extensions
Extending to make the kitchen the room the house is run from, usually opening it into dining and living space. Rooflights or a lantern over the new part, and doors onto the garden so the room keeps its light.
Single-storey rear and side extensions
The most common job we take on. A rear extension adds depth across the back of the house; a side extension uses the width down the flank. Both are built groundworks to finish by the same team.
Double-storey extensions
Adding to the ground floor and the floor above it in one build, which is how you get a bigger kitchen and another bedroom out of the same foundations. Our Farnham and Weybridge projects are both double-storey work.
Side-return and wraparound extensions
Filling the narrow return beside the house, or taking the rear and the side together so the ground floor turns a corner. Our Guildford and Weybridge back-and-side builds are both this shape.
